We were approached by Openreach to rethink and restyle their online experience after a company rebrand. We were tasked with solving usability issues and developing a completely new visual style. Using a flexible modular approach, we designed a kit of parts which could be used to build hundreds of pages.

Concept and styling

The styling of the site was concepted around the 3 brand values of being open, fair and skilled. It was important to the client that a feeling of building connections was felt across the site. We used continuous line drawings and green outlines as recurring themes throughout the site, to represent the fibre lines of the Openreach network.

Photography and illustration

Images across the site were replaced with those that reflected the 
brand values, and an illustration style was developed to represent the both the Openreach network and the connections it makes. We provided a creative and technical brief to the client for both, to ensure all assets would work in conjunction with the new responsive 
site design.
